A do-over

About me

I’m a communications and development professional focused on community-led initiatives for sustainable solutions to poverty and human rights abuses. Looking for creative ideas that reflect our diverse populations across Canada.

I’ve worked in human rights and community development in Thailand and Japan, developing regional and global campaigns for the leading women’s rights networks in Asia Pacific, strengthening a ground-breaking social enterprise for women in refugee camps, and raising profile and revenue for an award-winning NGO supporting community-driven refugee/IDP projects. I was lucky to start my career in development with some of Canada’s top fundraisers, at a leading arts and cultural centre and one of the world’s hottest film festivals.

Look forward to hearing your thoughts, ideas and comments here, or at @sarahmatushita or sarahmatsu@gmail.com.

All opinions expressed here are my own and do not reflect those of the organizations I’ve worked with or mentioned in this blog.
